Pastor Cooley grew up attending a good, Bible-preaching, Baptist church. But, it was not until March 12, 2002, that he fell under conviction from the Holy Spirit and saw his need for Jesus Christ. Shortly after in 2003, Pastor Cooley felt the call of God on his life to full-time, Christian service. He believed that God wanted him to preach the gospel to others.

In the summer of 2003, God led Jason Cooley to the First Baptist Church of Rosemount. While in Rosemount, he spent the next five years under the direct leadership of Dr. David Clear. Dr. Clear has a passion and a burden to train young men to start local, new-testament churches.

During his time in Rosemount,  Pastor Cooley was in charge of many different ministries. In the summer of 2004, Pastor Cooley was placed in charge of the Deaf Ministry at FIrst Baptist Church, and under his leadership, the attendance grew rapidly.

Pastor Cooley also was able to enact a program to train interpreters for the use of sharing the gospel with the Deaf and interpreting for the services.
